Anne Frank Facebook:
Reading Grade
Due: December 21 or 22nd
Objectives:
ü Identify elements of plot
ü Express the elements of plot in an organized manner using textual details
ü Integrate actual quotes from the play to include as comments or statuses
ü Create a Facebook page from a character’s perspective that takes the reader through the plot pyramid in a new and creative manner
ü Exhibit all areas of setting with a comment from “friends” reflecting on those elements of plot
ü Use technology to create a “Facebook” page for the Secret Annex
Project:
Using the location of the Secret Annex in Amsterdam, develop a fake Facebook page for a person in the Secret Annex using the template provided (or recreating your own version). The comments, voice, images, and information should accurately represent the Secret Annex and take the reader all the way from the resolution to the exposition (backwards—remember the most recent stuff goes first on a Facebook page). Convey not only plot points but show an understanding of how different characters might be experiencing the same events taking place in the Secret Annex.
Requirements Checklist:
____ Character name: first and last
____ Photograph of person
____ “Groups” list—what sorts of historically accurate or environmental groups may be active in the Secret Annex or Amsterdam at that time?
___ 8 statuses that go through the plot
___ Comments from Annex (or other) members about those eight events
____ “Friends”
____ An “extra”—bumper stickers, events, photo album, note
THE GRAPHIC ORGANIZER WILL HELP ENSURE THAT YOU COVER ALL THE NECESSARY ELEMENTS BEFORE AND DURING YOUR PROJECT.
