In your comment, also include a short introduction that explains why you chose the scene.
I chose this scene because Rosaleen is finally getting to do something for herself and fits in somewhere. I think that May has become one of those sisters she has been longing for. Lily is also left to be independent, which I think scares her a little bit because Rosaleen has become a crutch for her. Lily also seems jealous that she's being replaced by May because she's used to being Rosaleen's first priority.
ReplyDeleteI chose this scene because it shows how Lily feels more like a normal person. I also picked it because it showed Lily's caring side, how she was going to go comfort May by singing "Oh!Susanna"
ReplyDeletefrom start to finish with her. I also liked how she sung the Honey Song that May taught her. i thought it fit well with the scene
I chose this scene because Lily finds out what the Wailing Wall is used for. This is life-changing because she is starting to understand the life of Mary and the Boatwright sisters. Lily’s is becoming part of the family and his creating a strong connection between the Boatwright’s and herself. Lily is getting her life back on track. The whole story is based upon Lily's life because of the lose of her mother. She is beginning to feel comfortable with herself and she feels loved by those around her.

I choose this scene because it is when Lily and Zach first meet each other. They had been told about each other but this, this is when they finally see each others’ faces and get a feel for their personalities. It’s also important because Zach finds out Lily is white and he doesn’t care about it much, he just wasn’t expecting it. Also, he finds out Lily has no problem speaking to him because she doesn’t care about the color of people’s skin. It also shows how they are going to have a connection later in the book.
I chose this scene because it showed a side of Lily that we don't often get to see. We see that she actually cares about May's feeling and how compassionate Lily really is. Lily sings May's "Oh Susanna" with her so she feels better.
