Facebook: Literary Elements

Due: December 21 or 22nd
Objectives:
ü  Identify examples of figurative language
ü  Quote a character’s words and thoughts accurately from the play and diary text
ü  Integrate actual quotes from the play to include as dialogue
ü  Include elements of figurative language
o   Simile
o   Metaphor
o   Hyperbole
o   Personification
o   Setting
o   Conflict
o   Characters: round, flat, antagonist, protagonist
ü  Use technology to create a “Facebook” page for the Secret Annex

Project:
            Using the location of the Secret Annex in Amsterdam, develop a fake Facebook page for a person in the Secret Annex using the template provided (or recreating your own version).  The comments, voice, images, and information should accurately represent the Secret Annex and use figurative language and literary elements throughout the statuses and comments.  This should also include actual text from the play.  Convey not only character thoughts and conflicts,  but add figurative language to expand upon them.
