  1. The sky seems to be urging me toward Tiburon. I can feel Rosaleen beside me, but my mind is somewhere else. For the umpteenth time, I wonder what will happen to me and my stand-in mother. The consternation is stifling, and I realize that I have been incessantly holding my breath. The moon has jilted the stars, and everything seems too bright and is clouding my vision. I wonder if T. Ray has had a revelation, if he has suddenly changed now that he realizes that we are gone. Rosaleen is trying to silently send me consolation, I can feel it. We are vigilantes, running away from the law. We have a price on our heads now. I wonder if I was naïve to think that we could get away and I can find my mother’s traces once more. The moon is breaking before me. Ignoring Rosaleen’s care, I realize that the only solace I will ever be able to find is in something that is broken like me.

    The Journey

Lily and Rosaleen are headed to search not just a new home, but a new life.
5 miles into the journey, so tired, so hungry, so thirsty. Rosaleen is agitating towards lily. But it doesn’t matter, lily was vigilante. She was so determined, and so incessant. Both Lily and Rosaleen were naïve; they did not know how to travel by foot for many miles. As they were walking along, they spotted a car coming along the way, stuck out there hand and showed a signal that represented they needed a ride. The car stopped and gave consolation because of the stifling weather. The car stopped and lily and Rosaleen asked for a small favor, they accepted and got into the car, it was very risky but they had to do it. Solace came over them as they knew they were close to their destination. As they arrived to their final stop, it was a revelation for them as they saw the bright pink house that was so welcoming; they didn’t know what was coming next.

  3. Lily and Rosaleen scamper away from the hospital on their way to tiburon. At least that's the town's name on the back of Lily's picture of her mom. When Lily is necessary for consolation, Rosaleen would be like her mom sometimes and comfort her. This was the first time ever that either Rosaleen or Lily have ran away, they were really naive to the new experince. They made the righteous decision in their live, one to be saved from jail and another to run away from a demon parent. When Lily busted Rosaleen out of jail, she was a vigilante. She helped Rosaleen escape from jail for the right reason. The whites just plainly dispised her and even the officer was on their side. Despite the pain done to Rosaleen, she wasn't agitated by the pain and stood there like hercules holding up the moon. Rosaleen and Lily caught a ride from a farmer into the outskirts of Tiburon. They then hitched up into town and purchased food for themselves. Rosaleen incessantly chews on snuff and has never thought to quit. They found the Boatwrights' house and stood outside eyeing the place. One of the "calender sisters" came out revelated with a belt deadly as a whip. The sisters took Lily and Rosaleen to August the most understanding of the sisters. They were welcomed by her friendliness and became solaced about the belt June had before.

    Week 2 Vocabulary Writing
    The Secret Life of Bees

Lily was off to Tiburon to find out more about her mother and the Black Mary picture that her mother owned. Lily and Rosaleen were on their way to Tiburon and Lily began telling lies about why they were really going there. Lily began telling lies when she helped Rosaleen escape from jail for spitting on a white man’s shoes. They both started hitch hiking on Highway 40. A colored man in a Chevy truck gave them a ride. Lily told the man a lie by saying, “I was going to Tiburon to visit my aunt and Rosaleen was coming to do housework for her.” The man was naïve and believed Lily’s story. The colored man dropped Lily and Rosaleen off about 3 miles from Tiburon. Rosaleen asked why she and Lily were actually going to Tiburon. The response that Lily gave agitates Rosaleen and they got in a fight.
Once they reached Tiburon, they came upon a General Store and wanted to buy food and snuff for Rosaleen. For the umpteenth time, Lily told another lie. She told the store owner she was visiting her grandmother. Lily felt solace when she knew he believed the lie and he said, “I like it when children spend time with their grandparents.” Also, Lily stole some snuff for Rosaleen.
The Black Mary picture came from the label on a honey jar. The Boatwright sisters owned their own business of honey making and Lily knew that she would find out more about her mom if she could talk to them. When Lily and Rosaleen finally reached the Boatwright’s house they had been looking for, Lily had a revelation when she saw a lady that looked just like the Black Mary on the picture. The Boatwright sisters were May, August, and June. Lily lied again when she said that her dad died in a tractor accident and that she and Rosaleen were going to Richmond, Virginia to find her aunt. The Boatwright sisters were righteous enough to let Lily and Rosaleen stay at their house. Lily was provided with consolation when August told her that they could stay at the house and they could help with the chores. Lily was in no hurry to leave this wonderful place. Hopefully, she won’t have to tell many more lies to get the truth.

  5. The Terrible Tractor Accident
T-Ray walked out of his house, getting ready to go out to his farm and to plow the rest of his crops. He suddenly remembers that he left his tractor keys in his tractor last night. He walked up to his tractor and now a sudden sense of CONSOLATION, as he found his keys. He quickly hops on it and starts it. The sound of the engine echoes through his tiny barn.
“What are you doing there T-Ray?” His neighbor John asks.
“Going out to my field and plow the rest of my crops.” T-Ray barks back.
“Your such a VIGILANTIE, you think you can do everything by yourself, when you really need at least two to three people to plow a field of that size,” John responds.
“Watch me!” T-Ray yells back, as he put his tractor in fourth gear and speeds towards the fields. He splashed through mud, water, and he nearly ran over a new born NAÏVE cow. “Stupid animal!” T-Ray yells at the cow. In a split second him and his tractor come to a screeching halt. Suddenly T-Ray hears roaring of another, larger tractor behind him. It was John, again.
“What the heck do you want John. Your so RIGHTOUES. I don’t need any of your help!” T-Ray barks at John as he stairs at him with no show of remorse in his eyes. John speeds buy T-Ray with a tractor twice the size of his own. It was a huge REVALATION for T-Ray to see Johns real tractor.
“I’m not here to help you, I’m here to race you three time around you farm.” John lays down the challenge, as he waits for a response.
“NO! I got to much work to do.” T-Ray replies back, with a hint of weakness in his voice.
“You look a little AGITATED, what T-Ray you afraid to race me, think you might lose.
“YOUR ON.” T-Ray responds with a lot of confidence in his voice. Both tractors lined up behind a mark in the dirt, that john labeled starting line/ finishing line. Both tractor engines roared like two lions that are about to start to fight. “Ready, set, go.” T-Ray yells out.
Both tractors started at a good start, both of them leaving tire marks against the dirt. One lap completed both of the tractors are doing well so far in this race. After passing the finish line going onto lap two John and his tractor has gain a significant lead over T-Ray. “I told you T-Ray my tractor has always been more superior over yours.” John yells out, T-Ray didn’t hear him die to the overpowering noise of John’s tractor. The second lap was over. Both tractors are back to neck and neck on the third lap, the final lap of the race.
All of a sudden, BOOM. One of T-Rays’ tractor wheel have popped. He keeps control f his tractor for at least a good thirty seconds until he crashes and falls, his tractor is completely destroyed so is T-Ray. John walks up to T-Ray to see that he’s lying on the ground, not moving and STIFLING. John takes his tractor and rides away, leaving T-Ray lying on the ground slowly dying with every breath he takes.

  6. Nobody showed any consolation towards us while we attempted to hitchhike a ride to Tiburon. Well, except for one, but he only drove us a few miles. I was naïve. I thought that getting to Tiburon would be a simple task, however, it was extremely difficult, especially on foot. It really agitated me how Rosaleen needed to stop and rest every few minutes. After the umpteenth time of her stopping to take a break, I yelled at her, and we parted our separate ways. Understanding the revelation of my mistake, I went to go look for Rosaleen. I apologized, and together we continued towards Tiburon. Also, I Lily Owens, don't deserve to walk in this stifling heat, I should be in school attempting to get myself a satisfactory education. When night fell, the only place of solace was Rosaleen's lap, which I gladly slept on. We walked incessantly for days, our legs growing so tired to the point of being useless. We had become fugitives, as well as vigilantes.

  7. Journey to Tiburon, South Carolina

Walking in the stifling weather was torture, but it was still worth it. I would rather this then T. Rays punishments any day. So I just put up with and walked. We walked an umpteenth amount of miles because my feet were on fire. I felt solace when solace when Rosaleen suggest we take a break.
Rosaleen sat there all tired with sweat dripping down her bruised face. She held her thumb up hoping a car would stop giving us a ride. It was a revelation to that see many cars go by, until a man in a truck stopped. He looked down at us and asked us where we were headed, turned out he was able to drop us off three miles from town.
The car ride was long and quiet. Rosaleen being a naïve person was acting quite strange, her head was held high. Rosaleen’s nose sniffing through the air filled with a sweet cantaloupe smell, considering we were surrounded by cantaloupes in the car.
The righteous man let us off exactly where he told us he would. Though right before leaving Rosaleen asked for one of his cantaloupes and he gave us two. The man had consoled me, knowing I would be head in the right direction and have food to eat tonight.

  8. We had just left the hospital and were walking down the highway. Lily thought she was some kind of vigilante by breaking me out of the hospital. Only they thought I was a criminal. Those cops were not very righteous because they beat me for no reason. I didn't want to ask Lily where we were heading yet since she had just rescued me. Lily was naive to think that they weren't going to come after us. We were having a rough time until a truck pulled up next to us and offered us a ride. Lily said we were going to Tiburon, and he said he was going to Columbia, which was right next to Tiburon so he could take us almost all the way. He let us out in Columbia, near a pond where we spent the night. Lily was talking rudely to me, like I was her pet dog, and I became agitated and walked to the other side of the pond to sleep. When Lily woke up, I was but-naked in the middle of the pond and Lily stripped down and got into the water. It felt so nice and cool in the stifling heat. I thought she looked funny. That morning we walked into town and found a deli that was opened on Sundays. We bought sandwiches but Lily stole me some red snuff because they couldn't sell it on Sundays. She elected to do it for me but I was glad. Then Lily found the black Mary picture on the honey jar and the whole way to the Boatwrights house she was talking incessantly about it. After the umpteenth time we finally arrived at the Boatwrights house and it was Pepto Bismol pink!
